On the evenings of December 12 and 13, Loreena will perform five songs with the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces during their festive holiday concerts.

The shows take place in Ottawa, Canada at the 966-seat performing arts Centrepointe Theatres. They begin at 7 p.m. EST and tickets are $20 for adults.

“I performed with the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces as recently as this summer and it was pure pleasure,” says Loreena. “It’s exciting to now work with them again, this time on a repertoire of seasonal music and with an arrangement of instruments which are very different for me. Their musicianship is extraordinary and rarely do I get to perform with such a large and accomplished band.”

Also appearing will be the Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes and Drums, as well as the Canadian Armed Forces String Ensemble.

As many of you know, Loreena is an active supporter of the broader Military Community and their families. In 2014, she was appointed Honorary Colonel of the Royal Canadian Air Force after serving for eight years as Honorary Colonel of 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron, based in Winnipeg, Canada.

The Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces is one of six full-time Regular Force military bands in the Canadian Armed Forces. It provides professional music for a large number of Canadian Armed Forces, as well as Department of National Defence and Government of Canada events.
