The heroic exploits of a famous First World War Canadian pilot were showcased in November during two performances of the play Billy Bishop Goes to War at the Falstaff Family Centre. One of Canada’s most successful musical dramas of all time, the play depicts the life of William Avery ‘Billy’ Bishop, the top Canadian flying ace in the First World War. Part of the proceeds from the performances was donated to The Memory Project, an initiative that includes recording the stories of every living Canadian veteran from the Second World War and the Korean War.
