Loreena will be making a long-awaited swing through Canada’s Western Provinces on a summer mini tour.
The recently-Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist will launch the tour with two intimate concert in her home base of Stratford, Ontario, August 7 & 8th at Knox Presbyterian Church, then head west to Winnipeg‘s Centennial Concert Hall (August 9) followed by headlining dates at the Regina Folk Festival (August 10) and The Edmonton Folk Festival (August 11). The tour will carry on to Calgary (August 12), Vancouver (August 13), Seattle (August 15) and conclude at The Rocky Mountains Folks Festival in Lyons, Colorado August 16.
“I’m truly excited to be heading back to places that hold such fond memories”, says Loreena. “The musicians and I have had great audiences in the West, and as someone born and raised under a prairie sky there’s always something extra special about being there.”
She’ll be accompanied by Brian Hughes (guitars), Caroline Lavelle (cello), Hugh Marsh (violin), Ben Grossman (hurdy gurdy), Rick Lazar (percussion) and Andrew Downing (bass).
