On Sunday, May 26 Loreena will be tying up her runners and joining the Royal Canadian Air Force Run in Winnipeg. The high-profile annual fundraiser is hosted by the RCAF at 17 Wing in support of the Soldier On program and the Military Families Fund, which benefit the lives of sick and injured military personnel and their families. “I may not be the best runner around,” admits Loreena, “but I’m certainly in support of what this event is about and who it’s about. I’m quite delighted to join in and see what I can accomplish – and I’m encouraging others to do the same.
“We owe such a debt of gratitude to our members and families of members of the Canadian Forces for what they do and endure on behalf of Canadians. I hope anyone who can, will join us for a most memorable run and give a little back to them who give us all so much.”
Loreena has been Honourary Colonel of 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron at 17 Wing in Winnipeg since 2006.
Just a reminder, that Loreena will be performing at Winnipeg’s Centennial Concert Hall on Friday, August 9. Tickets are selling quickly. Click here for more information.
