December will see Loreena travel to the Big Apple for a guest performance and the world premiere of a new film at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Also performing are Sir James Galway, Cindy Cruse Ratcliff, and Japan’s ATUSHI.  It’s all part of the Dec. 4 Golden Hat Foundation event, billed as Tim JanisThe American Christmas Carol.

Loreena’s song “Dante’s Prayer,” is part of the soundtrack of the new musical film, The Button Girl. Narrated by actor Kate Winslet and starring Dick Van Dyke, Jane Seymour and Charles Shaughnessy, the film will be introduced by Patricia Ward Kelly, wife of the late star Gene Kelly. Proceeds from the concert go to Kate Winslet’s Golden Hat Foundation which is dedicated to changing the way people with autism are perceived, by shining a light on their abilities and emphasizing their potential. This is Loreena’s second time performing at the benefit event. Tickets will be available starting Nov. 4 through the Carnegie Hall box office and http://www.carnegiehall.org/, or by calling (212) 247-7800.
