LOREENA McKENNITT TO PLAY FESTIVALS AND

CONCERTS IN WESTERN CANADA THIS SUMMER

Loreena McKennitt will be making a long-awaited swing through Canada’s Western Provinces in a just-announced, summer minitour in August.

The recently Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist will launch the tour with an intimate concert in her home base of Stratford, Ontario, August 8th at Knox Presbyterian Church, then head west for headlining dates at the Regina Folk Festival (August 10) and the Edmonton Folk Festival (August 11).

The tour will carry on to Calgary’s Jubilee Auditorium (August 12) and will close at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre (August 13). Additional dates may be added.

I’m truly excited to be heading back to places that hold such fond memories,” says Loreena. “The musicians and I have had great audiences in the West, and as someone born and raised under a prairie sky there’s always something extra special about being there.”

The Stratford, Calgary and Vancouver concerts start at 8.00 p.m. Tickets for the Stratford, Calgary and Vancouver performances go on sale March 22, Tickets for the Stratford concert are $65.00; in Calgary they are $55.50 and $69.50, and in Vancouver $39.50, $49.50 and $69.00
