Over the years we’ve reviewed the subject of start times for concerts, knowing there are some persuasive arguments to consider deviating from the regular 8 p.m. start time,” says Loreena. “This is often to facilitate people wishing to return home earlier on school and work nights. Hopefully, no one will be caught out by these changes.”

The Stories Behind the Songs is a unique trio performance that promises to be unlike any of Loreena’s other tours.

As you may recall from our recent dispatch announcing your pre-sale ticket opportunity, the 13-day tour of eastern Ontario and Québec will combine music – including songs Loreena has not performed in some time – with stories about her global travels in pursuit of Celtic history. She will also be taking live questions from the audience on a wide range of topics, including her various philanthropic and civic activities, her new role as Honorary Colonel of the Royal Canadian Air Force, copyright reform and more.

Loreena will be accompanied on the tour by long-time musical colleagues, guitarist Brian Hughes and cellist Caroline Lavelle.

This tour connects with Loreena’s most recent album, The Journey So Far, a catalogue retrospective released in the spring of 2014 which celebrates her three decades as Canada’s groundbreaking independent artist. The trio will perform in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Saguenay, Trois-Rivières, Drummondville, Cornwall, Brockville, Kingston and Peterborough. Tickets are available here.
